The idea of social capital in modern thought is based on "beneficial friendship" and the two-sided or multi-faceted "profit-making" relations, and the social capital formed on the basis of such relationships is fragile. The typology of friendship and affection in the thoughts of the Islamic Medieval philosophers and its capacity to formulate an alternative model for utilitarian capitalism is a matter of this article. So the question is what is the relationship between the concept of friendship and affection in the mindset of the Muslim scholars of the middle period and social capital? For analyzing the subject, the analytical method has been used and is introduced through the critical evaluation of utilitarianism and beneficial friendship and the social capital that has emerged on this kind of friendship, the social capital of affection, as an alternative model.it is hypothesized that with a three-tiered and analytical approach, three types of friendship in Islamic thought and the opinions of Muslim scholars, namely, "friendship as virtue," "friendship as a means of bliss "And" friendship as a moral worldview ". All three types of friendship have the aspects of excellence towards the beneficial friendships that shape the basis of modern social capital. The pattern of friendship and loving relationships formed on the basis of the tripartite friendship of philosophical ethics has the capacity to consolidate the foundations of social capital.
