This study deals with categorizing friendship and love in the thought of Islamic scholars and assessing its capacity to formulate an alternative model for utilitarian social capital. The question is, what is the relationship between the concept of friendship and love in the thought of Islamic scholars and social capital? Therefore, the main purpose of this article is to critically evaluate the utilitarian friendship and social capital based on this kind of friendship and also to understand the concept of friendship proposed in the thought of Islamic scholars from the perspective of social capital. In this paper, the analytical - comparative method is used, which means the method through which a set of thoughts and ideas is examined and by comparing them a qualitative result is achieved. According to the research findings, three levels of friendship can be considered in the views of Islamic scholars: “friendship as a virtue”, “friendship as a means of achieving happiness” and “friendship as a moral worldview”. All three types of friendship have aspects superior to utilitarian friendships that form the basis of modern social capital. The model of friendship and loving relationships formed on the basis of the three relations of friendship hidden in the views of Islamic scholars has the necessary capacity to strengthen the foundations of social capital. ایده سرمایه اجتماعی در اندیشه مدرن، مبتنی بر «دوستی فایده‎گرا» و مناسبات «سودمحورانه» است و سرمایه اجتماعی شکل‎گرفته بر پایه چنین مناسباتی، شکننده است. سنخ‎شناسی دوستی و محبت در آرای حکمای اسلامی و ظرفیت‎سنجی آن برای صورت‎بندی الگویی جای‎گزین برای سرمایه اجتماعی فایده‎گرایانه، مسئله این مقاله است. سؤال این است که چه نسبتی بین مفهوم دوستی و محبت مطرح‎شده در اندیشه حکمای اسلامی و سرمایه اجتماعی برقرار است؟ ازاین‎رو هدف اصلی مقاله ارزیابی انتقادیِ دوستیِ فایده‎محور و سرمایه اجتماعی ابتنایافته بر این نوع دوستی و نیز فهم مفهوم دوستی مطرح‎شده در آرای حکمای اسلامی از منظر سرمایه اجتماعی است. در این مقاله از روش تحلیلی / تطبیقی، به معنای روشی که از طریق آن مجموعه‎ای از افکار و اندیشه‎ها بررسی و با مقایسه آنها به‎صورت کیفی نتیجه‎گیری می‎شود، استفاده شده است. بر اساس یافته‎های تحقیق، سه سطح دوستی در آرای حکمای اسلامی قابل طرح است: «دوستی به‎مثابه فضیلت»، «دوستی به‎مثابه ابزار احراز سعادت» و «دوستی به‎مثابه جهان‎بینی اخلاقی». هر سه نوع دوستی، دارای وجوه تعالی نسبت به دوستی‎های فایده‎گرایانه‎ای است که اساس سرمایه اجتماعی مدرن را شکل می‎دهند. الگوی دوستی و روابط محبت‎آمیز شکل‎گرفته بر پایه مناسباتِ سه‎گانه دوستی مکنون در آرای حکمای اسلامی، از ظرفیت لازم برای محکم کردن پایه‎های سرمایه اجتماعی برخوردار است. https://ipr.isri.ac.ir/article_102543_40b108e227495eb1e7f1670fddc503f4.pdf
