The Model of Political Insight From the Point of View of Ayatollah Khamenei

Abstract

Political insight is a strategy in today's complex events, which determines the direction of people's movement in the face of phenomena, obstacles and currents and prevents irreparable and harmful mistakes from being committed in political events. The following article was compiled with the aim of designing a conceptual model of political insight from the perspective of Ayatollah Khamenei. The research is qualitative, and the method used is thematic analysis. To analyze the data, three types of basic, organizing and comprehensive coding were used. The unit of analysis in the research included a range of words or terms, up to paying attention to the context of the data and their key points. The main source of qualitative data in this research was Ayatollah Khamenei's statements regarding political insight. The findings showed that political insight includes three overarching themes of political insight, political attitude and political behavior. The organizing themes of political insight include fourteen organizing themes: knowing the way, goal, obstacles, time, moment, means of coping, priority, need, intelligence, power of understanding, recognition, vision and power of analysis. The political attitude included four organizing themes: provincialism, mistrust of the enemy, hope and anti-arrogance. Political behavior included seven organizing themes: emotion management, clear expression of positions, presence on stage, standing, timely action, influencing and conscious movement. The findings of this research can be used for research centers, universities, political leaders, professors and students, and political science researchers.
