Resistance Model with Emphasis on Verses of Perseverance in the Quran

Abstract
.
Perseverance is one of the fundamental concepts of the Quran, which has a multidimensional concept and plays a key role in establishing faith, adhering to the path of truth, and confronting challenges. The aim of this research is to present a structured model of the concept of resistance in the Quran and identify its key elements. These elements include causal conditions, intervening conditions, contextual conditions, strategies, and consequences. The research was conducted in a qualitative manner using the grounded data method, and the data were extracted from the text of the Quran. The selected surahs include At-Tawbah, Hood, Fussilat, Ahqaf, Jinn, Yunus, Takwir, and Shuri. The results of the research show that the causal factors include certainty in divine promises, trust in God in difficulties, remembrance of God, adherence to moral principles, and resistance to temptations. On the other hand, despair, attachment to the world, weakness of will, and fear of oppressive powers are among the interfering factors that can prevent perseverance. Also, lack of insight in the face of temptations and lack of awareness of past experiences are among the conditions that lead to the failure of resistance. In contrast, strategies such as promoting social justice, strengthening security, fighting oppression, strengthening faith, and expanding awareness increase perseverance. The consequences of perseverance include spiritual growth, receiving divine help, social success, and rewards in the hereafter.
