Considering both the position of Imam Ali (as) as the ruler of the Islamic society and the Imam trained in the lap of prophecy, strengthens the study of the position of morality in the Alawite government. Content analysis is a method that the present work has used to analyze the role of ethics in the relations of the Alawite government with Mu'awiyah and how the element of ethics appeared in this confrontation, and has analyzed his letters to Mu'awiyah. Accountability, liquidity, adherence to principles and perseverance are among the most important ethical strategies in this confrontation. Also, the analysis of the application of the principles of professional ethics in management, and the expression of positive and negative ethical traits involved in governance, are other topics of this article.
Imam Khomeini's special emphasis on the two characteristics of misguidance (13.79%) and Mu'awiyah's hypocrisy (11.49%), indicates that he was constantly targeted by sedition, which led to two strategic principles of accountability and intelligence. (25% each) more than other principles. The 86% statistics of moral propositions in these letters show the centrality of morality in the relationship between the Alawite government and Mu'awiyah. Also, the negative moral attributes that have been proposed by the Imam as obstacles to Mu'awiyah's authority to rule, along with the positive attributes, express the moral dimensions of the Islamic government.
